Producer Ektaa Kapoor had a hilarious way of wishing her parents, veteran actor Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor, on their 52nd wedding anniversary, which coincided with Halloween.
The television and film producer shared a playful anniversary message after her brother, actor Tusshar Kapoor, posted a series of photographs celebrating their parents’ special day.
Tusshar took to Instagram to share a black-and-white photograph from Jeetendra and Shobha’s wedding, showing the couple dressed as bride and groom during a wedding ritual. He also included a recent picture of the couple, smiling together as Shobha affectionately held her husband’s arm.
Ektaa reshared her brother’s post and added her own humorous twist to the occasion.
“Happie halloween.. sorrry Hapur..anniversary (laughing with tears emojis) 31 oct – forever (sic),” she wrote, referring to the October 31 anniversary and the Halloween celebrations.
Jeetendra and Shobha’s love story began when they met as teenagers on Mumbai’s Marine Drive. The two eventually started dating and, after navigating several ups and downs in their relationship, tied the knot on October 31, 1974.
The couple have two children, Tusshar and Ektaa, who frequently share glimpses of their family memories on social media.
Tusshar, meanwhile, has often delighted fans with photographs from his family’s personal and professional history.
In January, the ‘Golmaal’ actor revisited another childhood memory by sharing a vintage photograph from one of his father’s film sets. The picture featured Jeetendra with young Ektaa and Tusshar sitting on his lap, while actress Hema Malini looked on affectionately.
Tusshar suggested that the photograph was taken during the shooting of one of his father’s films in the late 1970s, captioning it, “#majorthrowback visiting dad on set”.
Jeetendra made his Bollywood debut with the 1964 film ‘Geet Gaya Patharon Ne’ and went on to appear in around 200 films. Some of his best-known movies include ‘Himmatwala’, ‘Dharam Veer’, ‘Parichay’, ‘Tohfa’, ‘Caravan’, ‘Aulad’ and ‘Sindoor’.
