Singer Shannon K marked her father and veteran playback singer Kumar Sanu’s 69th birthday with a heartfelt message on social media, sharing an unseen photograph of the music legend.
Shannon took to her social media account to post a picture of Kumar Sanu dressed in a black T-shirt and shorts. Alongside the photograph, she penned a warm birthday wish celebrating his cheerful personality and positive influence on the family.
“Happy Birthday Dad Your smile spreads positivity and happiness in our family. You taught us to do the same. May you live for a million years with the same smile,” she wrote.
Kumar Sanu remains one of Hindi cinema’s most recognised playback singers, particularly remembered for his memorable melodies and contribution to film music during the 1990s.
Earlier in July, Shannon shared an anniversary message for her parents, Kumar Sanu and Saloni Bhattacharya, as they celebrated 25 years of marriage. Accompanying photographs documenting their journey together, she offered a playful take on the secret behind their relationship.
“Happy Marriage Anniversary Mom and Dad! 25 years down, eternity to go… The secret to their happy marriage is: Dad = impulsive Mom = patience,” she wrote.
Shannon K is an Indo-American singer, songwriter and actress. She made her music debut with the 2018 single “A Long Time” and subsequently made her feature-film acting debut in the Hindi film ‘Chal Zindagi’.
In May, Shannon and Kumar Sanu performed together at a live symphony orchestra concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The performance brought popular Bollywood melodies together with orchestral arrangements.
Shannon is the adopted daughter of Kumar Sanu and his second wife, Saloni Bhattacharya.
