The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday declared the results of the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET)-2026, with Vinod securing the top position in Ayurveda and Ayyamolia Akshaya emerging as the topper among candidates seeking admission to Homoeopathy courses.
The NTA also released the final answer keys for the examination. In a post on X, the testing agency said candidates could access the keys and check their answers through the official examination portal.
AIAPGET-2026 was conducted on August 22 at 205 centres across 104 cities, with 49,864 candidates appearing for the examination. A re-examination was subsequently held on September 1 for 49 candidates in Jaipur after a power outage disrupted their earlier attempt.
Of the total candidates who appeared, 31,178 were female and 18,686 were male.
The Ayurveda stream recorded the highest number of candidates, with 35,838 aspirants appearing for the examination. Another 10,643 candidates appeared for Homoeopathy, while 2,649 appeared for Unani and 734 for Siddha.
According to the NTA, 19,920 candidates were declared qualified for Ayurveda courses, while 5,934 candidates qualified for Homoeopathy.
The examination was conducted by the NTA on behalf of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), in consultation with the Ministry of AYUSH.
The NTA clarified that it has no role in the counselling process.
The Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) will conduct counselling for All India quota seats in government and government-aided institutions, national institutions, central and deemed-to-be universities established under a Central Act, as well as designated state and Union Territory institutions.
For State and Union Territory quota seats, counselling authorities will use candidates’ AIAPGET-2026 merit, subject preferences and applicable eligibility requirements. Domicile conditions, reservation policies and other relevant counselling guidelines will also be taken into account.
