Actress Rashmika Mandanna marked the first anniversary of her film ‘The Girlfriend’ on Saturday with a nostalgic social media post, reflecting on the love and appreciation received by her character, Bhooma.
Rashmika said the stories shared by viewers and the acceptance of her character over the past year had made the experience even more special.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, she wrote, “One year of The Girlfriend.. one year of Bhooma.. and a whole lot of love that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words.”
She thanked her fans for their messages, conversations and personal stories, saying their support had made the journey more beautiful.
“What has made this journey even more beautiful is YOU GUYSSS. The messages, the conversations, the stories you’ve shared with me, the way you’ve shown your love for Bhooma, accepted her and made her a part of your lives,” she added.
The actress said she felt happy and emotional whenever someone told her they could relate to Bhooma. She also expressed the hope that no girl would have to face the experiences her character went through.
“I wish every girl gets to find her voice, her strength and her happiness,” Rashmika wrote.
Expressing gratitude for the film’s continued appreciation, she said the audience had made a story close to her heart even more precious by watching it, discussing it and celebrating it a year after its release.
She concluded her note by sending her fans a warm hug.
