Punjab Judicial Reshuffle: 8 Addl Sessions Judges Transferred, Five New Judges Get First Postings

Chandigarh, June 25, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

The Punjab & Haryana High Court has ordered a fresh reshuffle in the Punjab Superior Judicial Service by transferring eight serving Additional District and Sessions Judges (AD&SJs) and assigning postings to five newly appointed Additional District and Sessions Judges.

The appointments and transfers have been made on the recommendations of the High Court, while the Governor of Punjab has appointed five new officers—Prabhjot Singh Sachdeva, Harnoor Singh Chhabra, Parvinder Singh, Ravinder Singh and Jagjit Singh—as Additional District and Sessions Judges under Rule 7(3)(c) of the Punjab Superior Judicial Rules, 2007, on probation.

Transfers of Serving Judges

1. Shri Prem Kumar

  • Earlier: Additional District & Sessions Judge, Tarn Taran
  • New Posting: Presiding Officer, Special Tribunal (constituted pursuant to the judgment dated May 20, 2015 in LPA No. 35 of 2012), Tarn Taran.

2. Ms. Lukhvinder Kaur Duggal

  • Earlier: Additional District & Sessions Judge, Ferozepur
  • New Posting: Additional District & Sessions Judge, Rupnagar (Additional Officer).

3. Shri Krishan Kant Jain

  • Earlier: Additional District & Sessions Judge, Faridkot
  • New Posting: Additional District & Sessions Judge, Ferozepur.

4. Shri Shiv Mohan Garg

  • Earlier: On withdrawal from Moga
  • New Posting: Additional District & Sessions Judge-cum-Principal Judge, Family Court, Sangrur.

5. Shri Randhir Verma

  • Earlier: Additional District & Sessions Judge, Sangrur
  • New Posting: Additional District & Sessions Judge-cum-Principal Judge, Family Court, SAS Nagar (Mohali), as an Additional Officer.

6. Shri Kulbhushan Kumar

  • Earlier: Additional District & Sessions Judge-cum-Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal, Bathinda
  • New Posting: Additional District & Sessions Judge, Pathankot (Additional Officer).

7. Shri Amrinder Pal Singh

  • Earlier: Additional District & Sessions Judge-cum-Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Sangrur
  • New Posting: Additional District & Sessions Judge-cum-Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal, Bathinda.

8. Ms. Pooja Andotra

  • Earlier: Additional District & Sessions Judge-cum-Presiding Officer, Special Tribunal constituted in view of the judgment dated May 20, 2015 in LPA No. 35 of 2012, Tarn Taran

The High Court has directed all newly appointed officers to assume charge of their respective assignments immediately. Their appointments will remain subject to the conditions contained in their appointment letters issued by the Punjab Government on May 20, 2026.
