Alumni Association of SCD Govt College Ludhiana gave Principal Prof Dr Tanvir Sachedva a warm farewell on her retirement as principal of the college SCD Govt College Ludhiana on 31st August.
Alumni present on the occasion were S S Bhogal, renowned industrialist ,Shivdular Singh Dhillon IAS, (State Red Cross Chief ), O P Verma PCS Retd. , K B Singh DGM Retd PNB , Dr PD Gupta, Ashok Dheer, Dr Kamal Kishore, Rashmi Verma, Prof Mukesh Kumar, Navdeep Singh,Prof.Geetanjli Pabreja and Dr Sajla HOD economics ( ALL Alumni).
Brij Bhushan Goyal Organising Secretary of the Alumni Association in his message said that the financial aid gesture of retiring principal madam is exemplary.
It will encourage other teachers for philanthropy also in their payback time as this college has great traditions of its teachers being very passionate about helping their students always.
Goyal also recalled Dr Tanvir’s efforts in establishing the Alumni Authors Book Shelves collecting books written by alumni which are placed in a special section in the college library .
College also continues to accord space for articles in the Special Alumni Section of the college magazine The Sutlej.
Parneet Sachdeva IRS( Retd) husband of Principal Madam present on the occasion thanked Alumni for honoring her appreciating strength of alumni association.
