Actress and former ‘Bigg Boss 7’ winner Gauahar Khan has questioned Mary Kom’s claim that contestant Qazi Touqeer pushed her during a recent captaincy task on ‘Bigg Boss 20’.
Mary Kom was seen falling during the task and subsequently blamed Qazi for pushing her, saying his hand being inside a bag contributed to her fall.
Reacting to the incident, Gauahar shared a video on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, recalling her own experience of participating in physically and mentally demanding tasks during her time on the reality show.
Gauahar said contestants in earlier seasons had faced challenging tasks that sometimes required them to remain awake through the night. Referring to the latest incident involving Mary Kom, she questioned whether Qazi’s action could have caused the fall shown in the episode.
“Itni badi hamari country ki hasti, jinme itna strength hai ki woh kisi ko bhi pachhaar de apni strength se. But woh keh rahi hai Qazi ka haath bag mein daalne se woh gir gayi! Please yaar! Weekend ke vaar pe please call out! I am requesting,” Gauahar said in the video.
She further said that Mary fell after Qazi removed his hand from the bag and described the fall as resembling that of “a choti bachchi”. Gauahar acknowledged that the bag was heavy but questioned the circumstances of the fall.
Gauahar also urged the show’s ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ segment to address the incident.
‘Bigg Boss 20’ premiered on September 6 with 16 contestants, including Mary Kom, Kanika Mann, Mahhi Vij, Aasif Khan, Amrapali Dubey, Arishfa Khan, ScoutOP (Tanmay Singh), Rhiti Tiwari, Qazi Touqeer, Isha Rikhi, Rohed Khan, Love Gill, Yung DSA (Harsh Machare), Kushal Tanwar aka Gullu, Aman Gandhi and Uditi Singh.
