Actor Arjun Rampal has expressed his admiration for Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, describing the opportunity to share screen space with the veteran actor in the upcoming film Operation Ganga as an honour and an inspirational experience.
Rampal took to Instagram to share pictures with Mohanlal and praised his talent while reflecting on their collaboration.
“Such an honour to have the privilege to share screen space with you Sir. It has been inspirational. The supremely talented and gifted @mohanlal. Thank you,” Rampal wrote in his post.
The actor also used hashtags referencing Operation Ganga, Georgia and Tbilisi, indicating that the film has been shot in the region.
Directed by Vishnu Mohan, Operation Ganga brings Rampal and Mohanlal together on screen for the first time. The film was officially announced earlier this month, with Mohanlal unveiling its poster on Instagram with the caption, “Operation Ganga.”
The film’s title draws inspiration from India’s evacuation operation, launched to bring back Indian citizens, including a large number of students, stranded in Ukraine following the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The film also features Bhagyashri Borse and Adil Hussain in key roles. It is backed by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies.
Mohanlal was last seen in Drishyam 3, the third instalment of the popular Drishyam franchise, directed by Jeethu Joseph. He also starred in Thudakkam.
Meanwhile, Rampal recently announced the completion of his upcoming project, O Saathi Re, directed by Imtiaz Ali and featuring Aditi Rao Hydari and Avinash Tiwary. Marking the film’s wrap, Rampal shared pictures from a get-together with Ali and Hydari, expressing his excitement about the project and his attachment to the team.
“Wrapped something very special, with some very talented special people. Will miss you guys. Was lovely to be directed finally by my college friend @imtiazaliofficial #OsathiRe #Netflix,” he wrote.
Rampal was last seen in Ranveer Singh-starrer action thriller Dhurandhar 2.
