Actress Bhagyashrii Borse has revealed a lesser-known side of her personality, sharing that she writes poetry and considers herself a poet, even though she has largely kept her work private.
The actress, who stars opposite Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in the upcoming action thriller ‘Operation Ganga’, made the revelation through an Instagram post.
Calling poetry a part of herself that she usually keeps private, Bhagyashrii said she discovered her interest in writing naturally during difficult phases of life. She added that poetry helped her find comfort, gain clarity and recognise beauty in life.
Anticipating requests from followers to share her poems, the actress said she might do so someday but was not ready to put her writing in the public domain.
She explained that while she was comfortable having other aspects of her life open to public appreciation and criticism, poetry allowed her to express herself freely without worrying about how the world would respond.
Bhagyashrii recently shared another Instagram video featuring her dancing with Uganda’s popular dance group Ghetto Kids. The clip showed them performing to ‘Nallanchu Thellacheera’, a song from her Telugu film ‘Mr Bachchan’.
Mohanlal had also announced that Ghetto Kids would be part of ‘Operation Ganga’.
The film, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Vishnu Mohan, was earlier referred to as ‘L367’ before being given its official title. It draws its name from India’s evacuation mission to bring back citizens, including thousands of students, stranded in Ukraine following the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war.
Carrying the tagline ‘A Nation’s Promise’, the film is based on the high-stakes international evacuation operation. Besides Mohanlal and Bhagyashrii, the cast includes Arjun Rampal, Parthiban and Adil Hussain in pivotal roles.
Vishnu Mohan is best known for directing the devotional film ‘Meppadiyan’.
