Indian cricketer KL Rahul marked his wife Athiya Shetty’s birthday with a heartfelt social media message, describing the actress as his “biggest blessing” and crediting her with bringing love and meaning to his life.
Rahul shared a series of photographs of Athiya on Instagram, including a romantic picture of the couple looking into each other’s eyes, with the actress sitting on his lap. Other pictures offered glimpses of her solo moments.
“Happy birthday wifey. You fill my heart with love and my life with meaning. You’re my biggest blessing. Love you,” Rahul wrote.
Athiya also received an emotional birthday tribute from her father, actor Suniel Shetty. Sharing two childhood photographs of his daughter, Suniel said that no matter how old she grows, he will always see her as the little girl he could never refuse.
He reflected on watching Athiya build her own life, saying that some things never change, and expressed his love for her in a personal birthday message.
Athiya and Rahul got married in an intimate ceremony in January 2023 at Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala, Maharashtra.
On the professional front, Athiya made her Bollywood debut with the 2015 film ‘Hero’, a remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1983 film of the same name. She subsequently appeared in Anees Bazmee’s comedy ‘Mubarakan’ (2017).
She also featured in the dance number ‘Tere Naal Nachna’ in the 2018 film ‘Nawabzaade’.
