Celebrity chef Vikas Khanna has credited actress Priyanka Chopra’s views on breaking barriers and creating opportunities for others as an inspiration for an upcoming collaboration in American culture, set to be unveiled on November 8.
Sharing a post on Instagram, Khanna described the project as one of the biggest collaborations of his life and career in the US. He said the journey began with a dream, crossed cultures and connected generations, while emphasising the importance of staying true to his roots.
“As @priyankachopra has often reminded us, someone has to be the first to break barriers and pave the way for others. Her words have stayed with me, and this moment is deeply inspired by that spirit. Because every first is never just about one person. It is about opening doors for so many others who will follow,” he wrote.
Khanna said the project would mark a new chapter in his journey and described it as a celebration of artists and dreamers. He also shared a glimpse of the upcoming announcement, calling it something very close to his heart.
In July, Khanna had welcomed Chopra to his New York restaurant, Bungalow, with a traditional gesture. He shared a video showing the restaurant decorated with fresh flowers and himself tying Sambalpuri handkerchiefs around the actress’s wrists.
He said the visit also celebrated the upcoming Rath Yatra and the artisans of Sambalpur and Western Odisha, thanking Chopra and Anjula Acharia for making the occasion special.
