Ghaziabad, November 7, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)
The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), forensic experts and bomb disposal personnel reached a police outpost in Ghaziabad on Saturday to investigate an explosion that damaged the premises late Friday night. The cause of the blast remains unknown, with investigators examining evidence and exploring all possible angles.
The explosion took place at the Vasundhara police outpost, which falls under the jurisdiction of Indirapuram police station. Its impact shattered windowpanes and damaged air-conditioning units installed at the premises, triggering panic in the surrounding locality.
Ghaziabad Police Commissioner J. Ravinder Goud also visited the site as specialist teams, including the dog squad, searched the area and collected evidence.
BJP MLA Nand Kishor Gujar claimed that a “terrorist organisation” had taken responsibility for the explosion. However, the alleged claim has not been independently verified, and police have not confirmed any terror link.
In a video message, Gujar urged people not to panic and said the police would take action against those responsible. He also made remarks about a possible response across the border, invoking Pakistan and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
No police personnel were inside the outpost when the explosion occurred, officials said. However, a 20-year-old food delivery worker, identified as Vishal, was injured after shattered glass struck him. He was reportedly making a delivery nearby at the time and was taken to a private hospital in Delhi’s Surya Nagar for treatment.
Vishal is a resident of Arthala in Ghaziabad.
Police said the precise cause of the explosion would be established only after forensic examination and analysis of evidence collected from the scene. The investigation is continuing.
