Television actor Ankita Lokhande shared a warm reunion with veteran actor Usha Nadkarni at social media influencer Mr Faisu’s wedding reception in Mumbai on Tuesday, with a video from the event capturing her concern about Nadkarni’s health.
The two actors, who played family members in the popular television drama Pavitra Rishta, were seen greeting each other and catching up at the gathering.
In the video, Ankita appeared surprised to see Nadkarni, approached her and held her hand while asking in Marathi why she had lost so much weight. Nadkarni responded, although her reply was not clearly audible amid the noise at the venue.
The conversation continued, with Ankita’s husband, businessman Vicky Jain, joining the two actors.
Ankita wore a lavender-purple saree with delicate embellishments, complemented by statement jewellery. Nadkarni opted for an orange-and-yellow silk saree with a red blouse and a broad gold-toned border.
The reunion struck a nostalgic note for fans of Pavitra Rishta, in which Ankita played Archana and Nadkarni portrayed Savita Deshmukh, Archana’s on-screen mother-in-law. The drama also featured the late Sushant Singh Rajput as Manav and became a significant milestone in Ankita’s television career.
Ankita has continued to maintain her association with Nadkarni beyond the show. Through her personal vlogs, she has shared glimpses of their bond. Last year, marking 16 years of Pavitra Rishta, Ankita invited Nadkarni to her home for a reunion.
During that meeting, the actors revisited memories from the show and discussed the people and experiences that shaped their time together. Ankita also expressed gratitude to Nadkarni for guiding her in the early stages of her acting career.
Their latest interaction brought the long-running association between the co-stars back into focus.
