Actor Arjun Rampal has extended warm birthday wishes to Amitabh Bachchan, expressing gratitude for the memories they have shared over the years and describing the veteran superstar as a lasting source of inspiration.
Rampal marked the occasion by sharing photographs with Bachchan on his official Instagram account, reflecting on their association both on and off the screen.
Wishing the legendary actor a wonderful year ahead, Rampal wrote, “Happiest birthday dearest @amitabhbachchan ji. Sir you are and always will be inspirational. Thank you for so many memories which never will fade. Have a fabulous year ahead. #happybirthdayamitabhbachchan (sic).”
The two actors have appeared together in five films, beginning with the 2002 heist thriller Aankhen, which also featured Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Sushmita Sen.
They reunited in 2005 for Apoorva Lakhia’s Ek Ajnabee, co-starring Perizaad Zorabian. The film was a remake of Tony Scott’s Man on Fire, which was itself based on a novel of the same name.
In 2006, Rampal and Bachchan worked together in the horror anthology Darna Zaroori Hai. Their subsequent collaboration was the English-language drama The Last Lear, directed by Rituparno Ghosh and featuring Preity Zinta, Divya Dutta, Shefali Shah and Jisshu Sengupta.
Their most recent film collaboration was Prakash Jha’s 2013 political drama Satyagraha. The film also starred Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Amrita Rao, Manoj Bajpayee and Vipin Sharma.
On the professional front, Rampal is enjoying attention following the success of Dhurandhar. He is set to appear in Abbas–Mustan’s upcoming heist thriller 3 Monkeys, which features Vishal Jethwa, Mustafa Burmawala, Priya Prakash Varrier and Tenzing Dalha in its core cast.
Rampal’s birthday message celebrated not only Bachchan’s enduring influence but also a cinematic association spanning more than a decade.
