The first nominations of ‘Bigg Boss 20’ have been announced, with Kanika Mann, Uditi Singh, Love Gill and Arishfa Khan emerging as the contestants facing eviction in the opening week of the reality show.
The latest episode also featured an intense captaincy task involving Gullu, Asif Khan and Yung DSA. Before competing for the captaincy, the three contestants were given a special ‘vardaan’ and introduced to the show’s 2X room.
The ‘2’ door offered an additional lifeline, while the ‘X’ door meant taking away one lifeline from another contestant. With each housemate having two lifelines, the contestants ultimately opted for the ‘X’ option. Asif chose to remove Arishfa Khan’s lifeline, Gullu targeted Uditi Singh, while Yung DSA selected Kanika Mann.
The nominations followed soon after, with housemates naming Love Gill, Arishfa Khan, Kanika Mann and Uditi Singh for eviction.
The episode also witnessed a heated exchange between Arishfa and Aamrapali Dubey after Arishfa objected to being referred to as a “kid”. She maintained that she is an adult and should not be treated like a child. The argument intensified when Aamrapali refused to back down, while Mahhi Vij joined the discussion and questioned Arishfa over her remarks describing housemates as hypocrites.
Arishfa later apologised to Aamrapali, bringing the confrontation to an end.
The 20th season of the Hindi reality show, which is based on the Dutch format ‘Big Brother’, premiered on September 6 on Colors and JioHotstar. The season features 16 celebrity contestants, including MC Mary Kom, Kanika Mann, Mahhi Vij, Kushal Tanwar, Aman Gandhi, Isha Rikhi, Arishfa Khan, Qazi Touqeer, Asif Khan, Aamrapali Dubey, Rhiti Tiwari, Uditi Singh, Tanmay Singh aka ScoutOP, Rohed Khan, Yung DSA and Love Gill.
