Music maestro A. R. Rahman and singer Arijit Singh have joined forces for ‘Mangal Rang’, a song from filmmaker Namit Malhotra’s upcoming epic film ‘Ramayana’, bringing the timeless love story of Lord Rama and Mata Sita to the screen.
Featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita, the song traces the couple’s journey from their wedding to their life beyond Ayodhya. It has been released simultaneously in five languages—Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
Speaking about composing the song, Rahman said that approaching the ‘Ramayana’ through music had been a special experience.
