Actress Himanshi Khurana has responded to former boyfriend Asim Riaz amid an ongoing public dispute over their past relationship, saying she has evidence relating to what she described as a “conversion-related matter” and alleged violence she suffered.
In a social media post on Monday, Himanshi said she had generally been careful and respectful while speaking publicly about her personal experiences, including her time on “Bigg Boss”, her spiritual journey and health struggles.
She clarified that she had never described the issue as “forceful conversion”, saying that the phrase had been attributed to her by people and the media.
“I never said ‘forceful conversion’ was there. People and media set that narrative,” she wrote.
Himanshi said she decided to respond after she felt her health struggles were being mocked and questioned. She claimed that, if the dispute was going to focus on evidence, she was prepared to present what she described as CCTV footage and recordings concerning the conversion-related issue and alleged violence.
She referred specifically to recordings from the early hours of November 27, 2023, and said she would no longer remain silent to protect what she called her former partner’s public image.
Himanshi also said she had maintained her dignity while discussing their past and expected the same respect in return. She questioned why she should not be able to publicly share her own experiences and lessons when others do the same.
Her statement followed Asim’s recent response to remarks she made during a podcast with Paras Chhabra about religious differences in their former relationship. Asim denied asking anyone to change their religion and objected to the role religion had assumed in the controversy.
“I never asked anyone to change their religion. Not once,” he had said.
Himanshi and Asim met during “Bigg Boss 13” and were in a relationship for several years before announcing their separation in 2023.
