Actress Lindsay Lohan has shared a personal reflection on motherhood, encouraging women to be patient with themselves and embrace their individual journeys as mothers.
Taking to Instagram for Throwback Thursday, Lohan posted an old photograph of herself at a Pilates studio, taken around four-and-a-half to nearly five months after the birth of her son.
Looking back at that phase of her life, the actress said she was learning to balance motherhood with finding small moments for herself.
“Finding little moments for myself while getting used to the most beautiful new chapter of my life,” she wrote.
Addressing mothers, Lohan urged them not to rush their personal journeys or compare themselves with others.
“To all the moms out there, take your time and be kind to yourself. Every body and every journey is different. You give so much love, remember to give yourself some too and savour every moment! Time flies,” she added.
Lohan welcomed her son in 2023 with her husband, financier Bader Shammas. The couple, who began dating in 2019, announced their engagement in 2021 and confirmed their marriage the following year. They have been based in Dubai.
Lohan rose to fame as a child actor, making appearances in television productions before gaining international recognition with her dual role in the 1998 comedy The Parent Trap.
She subsequently starred in films including Freaky Friday, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Herbie: Fully Loaded and Just My Luck. Alongside her acting career, she released two studio albums, Speak and A Little More Personal (Raw), in 2004 and 2005, respectively.
