The makers of the upcoming romantic entertainer ‘Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar’ unveiled the trailer of the film on Monday, offering a glimpse into a story of romance, friendship, old crushes and rekindled feelings.
Packed with humour and witty one-liners, the film appears to revolve around old flames coming back into the lives of the protagonists, creating a complicated situation as past emotions collide with the present.
‘Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar’ marks the acting debut of multiple newcomers, including Sparsh Walia, Alisha Chopra, Kunal Vaid, Sakshi Vaidya, Tushar Chhibber and Sargun Kaur Luthra.
Filmmaker Luv Ranjan said the film draws from memories of school, friendships, crushes and people who leave a lasting impression during those years.
“Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar is rooted in memories we all keep going back to – school, friendships, crushes, and the people who made those years special. While the characters belong to a younger generation, the emotions are universal,” Ranjan said.
He added that bringing six new actors into a world of humour and young romance made the project particularly exciting.
Ranjan had earlier described the experience of launching multiple newcomers as both challenging and exciting. Recalling his own opportunity with ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ 15 years ago, he said he did not want to miss the chance to introduce six fresh faces through the new film.
“As a writer, creating a world for six new faces and watching them find their own rhythm within it was something I really enjoyed. When the people feel right, the story finds its own energy, and I’m excited for audiences to meet them,” he said.
Anuj Saini, who makes his directorial debut with the film, said the project holds special significance for him.
“Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar is very special to me as my directorial debut, and I couldn’t have asked for a more exciting bunch to begin this journey with. I’m thrilled with what these six young actors have brought to the film and can’t wait for audiences to finally experience what we’ve created together,” Saini said.
Presented by Luv Films and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, ‘Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar’ is scheduled to release in theatres on October 23.
