In a move aimed at improving administrative accessibility and public service delivery, the Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday approved the creation of the post of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) along with supporting staff for Dasuya Sub-Division in Hoshiarpur district.
The decision has been taken to address the difficulties faced by residents who currently have to travel long distances for district-level administrative work, revenue matters, approvals and grievance redressal.
The Cabinet approved the creation of five posts, including that of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), along with the required supporting staff.
The move is expected to improve administrative efficiency, reduce delays in public services and provide greater convenience to residents of Dasuya and surrounding areas.
