United Sikhs, a United Nations affiliated humanitarian body has started a program for networking in business to bring closer entrepreneurs, traders and businessmen closer so as to work towards prosperity and business growth and future development.

The program titled ‘Sikhs for business’ has held meetings in Ludhiana and Chandigarh and have brought together several dozens of businessmen and entrepreneurs towards a common goal of everyone’s well being and growth.

“The very theme of our project is to bring together people, share ideas, support each other and grow businesses leading to economic upliftment and security,” says Amritpal Singh who heads the project.

He informed that so far half a dozen meetings have been held of which four were in Ludhiana and two in Chandigarh and the success was tremendous.

Many of the participants have got new business ideas and others have expanded by making new contacts and getting new contracts.

Looking at the success of the meetings the program has been divided into two sections – open meetings and close door interactions. “Well, in the closed door we interact with people in smaller groups and the open house session invites larger and divergent participation,” said Amritpal Singh.

The idea has been promptly taken with open arms and the United Sikhs plan to take this to other parts of the country and outside nations and to begins with it will be replicated in North America.
