Bringing laurels to Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), a Ph.D. scholar from the Department of Biochemistry, Dr. Gurkanwal Kaur Sekhon (L-2019-BS-104-D) has been selected for the IAUA Outstanding Ph.D.
Thesis Research Award for the year 2025 in the category of Natural Resource Management. Dr. Gurkanwal carried out her Ph.D. research under the guidance of Dr Monica Sachdeva Taggar (Senior Biochemist, DREE, PAU). This recognition not only honours the scholar but also elevates the university’s academic prestige and research excellence.
On this remarkable achievement, Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor; Dr Vishavjeet Singh Hans, Dean, Postgraduate Studies; Dr Kiran Bains, Dean, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities; Dr Satvir Kaur Grewal, Head, Department of Biochemistry and Dr Monica Sachdeva Taggar, major advisor, congratulated Dr Gurkanwal and extended their best wishes for her continued success in future academic and professional endeavors.
Currently, Dr. Gurkanwal Kaur Sekhon is serving as Assistant Professor (Biochemistry) in the Department of Biochemistry, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, PAU, Ludhiana.
