Chandigarh, June 17, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)
Dedicated to the unparalleled martyrdom of ‘Shahidan De Sirtaj’ Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, and to mark Nirjala Ekadashi, the Information and Public Relations Department, Punjab, today organized a ‘Chhabeel’ and ‘Langar’ of ‘Chhole’ and ‘Karah Prasad’ at Punjab Civil Secretariat – 1, Chandigarh.
As part of this noble initiative, officers and staff of the Department served sweetened water and ‘Karah-Chhole Prasad’ to the sangat with deep devotion for nearly five hours.
The effort serving the cause of humanity was led by Special Secretary-cum-Director Puneet Goyal and Deputy Secretary Deepankar Garg.
Additional Director Randeep Singh Ahluwalia, Joint Directors Ishwinder Singh Grewal, Preet Kanwal Singh and Manvinder Singh, Deputy Directors Navdeep Singh Gill and Sherjung Singh Hundal, along with all other officers and employees of the Department, also served the sangat with utmost reverence in the true spirit of selfless service.
A large number of media persons also joined the pious occasion. The langar sewa, which continued from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, was further sanctified by Shabad Kirtan dedicated to the martyrdom of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, leaving the devotees spiritually enriched.
