Punjab’s Minister for Horticulture, Freedom Fighters, and Defence Services Welfare, Mohinder Bhagat, along with Nakodar MLA Inderjit Kaur Mann, Moga MLA Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Advisor to the Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department Deepak Bali, Mayor Vineet Dhir, and Chairman, Improvement Trust Jalandhar, Ramneek Singh Randhawa, today visited the family of the minor girl in Jalandhar city who fell victim to a heinous crime, and expressed deep condolences. Expressing heartfelt sympathy, he said the family has suffered an irreparable loss.
The Cabinet Minister said that the Punjab Government stands firmly with the family in this hour of grief. He said the State Government is committed to providing justice to the victim’s family and that the accused will not be spared at any cost. He said the accused must receive strict punishment for this heinous crime.
Assuring justice and all possible assistance to the victim’s family on behalf of the Punjab Government, the Cabinet Minister said that any police official found negligent in this matter will be spared.
He said that the Punjab Government will pursue the case on a fast-track basis. MLA Inderjit Kaur Mann and Dr. Amandeep Kaur said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has also issued directions to the Police Department to complete the proceedings swiftly in this case so that the accused can receive the maximum possible punishment.
On this occasion, senior AAP leaders Rajwinder Kaur Thiaara, Nitin Kohli, and Dinesh Dhall were also present.
