Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran penned a heartfelt birthday message for his daughter Alankrita as she turned 12 on Tuesday, expressing pride in the person she has grown into and praising her compassion.
Sharing a picture of Alankrita on Instagram, Prithviraj said he and his wife, Supriya Menon, feel proud of their daughter and the values she continues to develop.
The ‘Kaduva’ actor said Alankrita’s compassion inspires those around her and that she has, simply by being herself, taught her parents valuable lessons about life.
“Happy birthday sunshine! Mamma and Daada are so proud of the person you are, and the person you are growing into. Your compassion for the world around you is an inspiration, and in so many ways, so many times, you’ve taught Mamma and Daada so many things about life by just being you! Keep flying high..and keep loving life the way you do!” he wrote.
Supriya also marked her daughter’s birthday by sharing a series of previously unseen photographs on Instagram. Calling her daughter “Ally Kutty”, she recalled bringing her home from the hospital and expressed pride in the person she has become.
“Happy 12th Birthday Ally Kutty! Can’t believe you are so grown up already! Feels like yesterday when we brought you home from the hospital,” Supriya wrote.
She described Alankrita as a wonderful daughter and encouraged her to remain kind, loving and empathetic. She also joked about her daughter inheriting the family’s “sass and talking back” before signing off with a message of love from both parents.
Prithviraj and Supriya tied the knot on April 25, 2011, in a private ceremony in Palakkad. They welcomed their daughter, Alankrita Menon Prithviraj, in 2014.
Supriya was working as a journalist covering Malayalam cinema when she first met Prithviraj.
