India’s all-rounder Deepti Sharma, Australia’s Annabel Sutherland and Bangladesh batter Sobhana Mostary have been shortlisted for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for October 2026 following their impressive performances during the month.
Deepti made a strong case for the honour with her contributions in both batting and bowling as India registered 3-0 sweeps in the ODI and T20I series against Zimbabwe at home.
Her standout performance came in the second ODI at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara, where she scored an unbeaten 106 and claimed three wickets to help India secure a 121-run victory and seal the series. It was her second ODI century, following her maiden hundred in 2017. She finished the ODI series with five wickets at an economy rate of 3.42.
In the preceding T20I series in Raipur, Deepti scored 49 off 37 balls in the opening match and took two wickets as India secured another 3-0 sweep.
Sobhana, meanwhile, made history in Brisbane with 118 off 134 balls in the second ODI against Australia, recording the highest individual score by a Bangladesh woman in the 50-over format. Her innings included 18 boundaries and helped Bangladesh post 220/6.
Although Bangladesh lost the series 3-0, Sobhana finished with 129 runs at an average of 43 and a strike rate of 73.71.
Australia’s Sutherland also impressed against Bangladesh, taking four wickets for 30 runs in the series opener before scoring an unbeaten 25 as Australia registered a seven-wicket win.
The 25-year-old produced another all-round performance in the final ODI, scoring an unbeaten 74 and claiming two wickets. She ended the series with 99 runs at a strike rate of 132 and six wickets at an economy rate of 4.12.
