Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab announced that Punjab BJP President Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon and BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh will undertake a day-long visit to Amritsar on June 18 to seek blessings at various religious and historical places and interact with party workers and local leaders. The visit reflects the BJP’s commitment to Punjab’s rich spiritual, cultural and nationalist heritage.
As per the programme, both leaders will arrive at Bhandari Bridge, Amritsar, at 10:00 AM. They will thereafter pay obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib and participate in sewa at the Langar Hall from 10:30 AM to 12:00 noon. They will then pay tribute to the martyrs of the freedom movement at Jallianwala Bagh.
The leaders will also visit Shri Durgiana Mandir and later interact with party workers at the BJP office, Hathi Gate. They will subsequently visit Guru Ravidas Mandir near Hall Bazar and hold meetings with members of the local community.
Following lunch, Tarun Chugh and Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon will pay tribute to the legacy of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and visit the Panorama dedicated to the great Sikh ruler. The visit will conclude with a programme at Shree Ram Tirath, an important religious and historical site associated with Punjab’s spiritual traditions.
The State General Secretary Anil Sarin said that the visit will further strengthen the BJP’s connection with the people of Punjab and reaffirm the party’s respect for the state’s religious, cultural and historical institutions.
