Punjab Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains today reviewed the progress of two bridge projects in the Anandpur Sahib Vidhan Sabha constituency. The projects aim to establish direct road connectivity between Ajoli-Bela-Dhyani and Bhallri-Khera Kalmot.
During the review meeting, Minister Bains instructed officials to expedite the preliminary procedures and tender process for the bridge construction. He emphasized the need to lay the foundation stones as soon as possible.
The Cabinet Minister Bains announced a site visit on July 31, 2024, to review the progress and decided to hold fortnightly review meetings to monitor the construction of these bridges, which he termed as his “dream project”.
The completion of these bridges will establish direct connectivity between Sri Anandpur Sahib and the Khera Kalmot area, benefiting the local population. The bridges will also boost economic development and provide a safe route during rainy seasons.
