Manisha Koirala chooses healing over hustle with wellness getaway

Mumbai, June 7, 2026
Actress Manisha Koirala took to social media to share glimpses of her wellness getaway.

Taking to Instagram, she shared her picture and reflected on the importance of slowing down and choosing rest over relentless hustle. In the caption, Manisha expressed how this break is helping her pause, reset, and reconnect with herself through a restorative retreat focused on healing and balance.

She wrote, “Increasingly, I value travel that restores rather than exhausts. Off to a wellness retreat to pause, reset, recharge and be reminded that sometimes the most productive thing we can do is rest. #TravelForWellness #wellness #chivasom #ResetAndRecharge #wellnessjourney.”

In the image, the ‘Dil Se’ actress is seen dressed in a stylish all-black outfit, paired with sunglasses and a hat. Manisha Koirala posed for the camera at the airport. Manisha, who is an avid social media user, had earlier reshared a video of her recreating the elegant look of her character Sheetal from the film “Gupt.”

On the professional front, Manisha made her Bollywood debut with “Saudagar” and went on to feature in several acclaimed films, including “1942: A Love Story,” “Bombay,” “Khamoshi: The Musical,” “Dil Se,” “Gupt,” and many more.

She was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama “Heeramandi.” Manisha played the role of Mallikajaan, chief courtesan of Shahi Mahal, in the movie. Set in the red-light district of Heera Mandi in Lahore during the Indian independence movement, the show also featured Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal, and Taha Shah Badussha.

Koirala took a three-year break from acting after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. During this time, her long-delayed psychological thriller “Chehere: A Modern Day Classic,” co-starring Divya Dutta, was released in 2015 but did not perform well at the box office. The following year, she appeared in the Kannada-Tamil mystery film “Game.”(Agency)
