Actress Kajol added a nostalgic touch to her Diwali celebrations by embracing a ’90s-inspired look for the festive evening hosted by fashion designer Manish Malhotra.
The Dilwale actress shared glimpses of the celebrations on Instagram, posing with Manish Malhotra, filmmaker Karan Johar, actor Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna.
Crediting Manish for recreating the charm of the 1990s through her look, Kajol wrote, “The nineties called and said they wanted us back 😉 Only Manish could’ve made it happen. #diwalinight #aboutlastnight #lightandlove.”
Her post featured a collection of photographs and videos from the celebration. In one clip, Kajol was seen laughing and posing with Manish Malhotra and Karan Johar. Another frame captured her with daughter Nysa and Twinkle Khanna.
A candid moment showed Karan planting a kiss on Kajol’s cheek, while another photograph featured her posing with Akshay Kumar, who was seen alongside Karisma Kapoor.
For the occasion, Kajol wore a black saree featuring crystal embellishments along the border, paired with a halter-neck blouse. She completed her look with an elegant updo and minimal accessories.
Manish Malhotra hosted the Diwali party at his Mumbai residence on November 5. The star-studded gathering was attended by several prominent film personalities, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Madhuri Dixit and Janhvi Kapoor, among others.
