The Greater Ludhiana Development Authority (GLADA) demolished three unauthorised colonies in ladian kalan and hussainpura village on the outskirts of Ludhiana on monday, as part of its drive against unauthorized and unplanned development.
A special drive has also been launched on the directions of Sh. Harpreet Singh IAS, Chief Administrator GLADA to take punitive action against those exploiting innocent residents with promises of cheaper plots in these unauthorised colonies, which lack statutory sanction and compliance with government norms.
The demolition was carried out by a team lead by District Town Planner (R) Sh. Sandeep, and dismantled roads, boundary walls, passages, sewer manholes under construction at the sites. General public is appealed not to invest or buy plots in such unapproved colonies.
