Bhagwant Mann Govt Has Done Monumental Work for All Religions in Punjab: Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi, June 29, 2026(Yes Punjab News)

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday attended the ‘Ek Shaam Bhagwan Shiv Ke Naam’ ‘bhajan sandhya’ in Batala, where he upheld the Bhagwant Mann government’s work, who has done more for all religions in Punjab than any government before.

He highlighted the grand state-wide observance of the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and the ongoing celebrations of the 650th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji. He shared that people are saying Punjab has never witnessed programmes for Sanatan Dharma on such a large scale.

Welcoming people to the ‘bhajan sandhya’, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated, “I welcome all ‘bhakts’ to ‘Ek Shaam Bhagwan Shiv Ke Naam’, organised by the Bhagwant Mann government. CM Bhagwant Mann is doing excellent work as your Chief Minister. He is doing a great deal for every religion. A few months ago, all of you saw how the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was commemorated across Punjab with great respect. Light and sound shows and drone shows were organised in every district, and the occasion was celebrated on a very grand scale with full honour.”

Referring to ongoing initiatives, he continued, “At present, the 650th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj is being celebrated across Punjab, and many programmes are being organised. Many more events will be held in the coming days.”

Speaking about the Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Yojna, Arvind Kejriwal said, “Many among you have already travelled on ‘tirath’ under the scheme. Those who have not should certainly take advantage of it. At present, there are two routes. One bus goes to Sri Anandpur Sahib and another goes to Sri Darbar Sahib. The Sri Anandpur Sahib route is meant for all of you.”

Explaining the facilities under the scheme, the AAP Supremo added, “Everything under the Tirath Yatra Yojna is completely free. The buses are air-conditioned and luxurious. Travel, food, accommodation and every other arrangement are free. You only need to carry four pairs of clothes with you. We are now adding three more routes to the scheme.”

Announcing the expansion, Arvind Kejriwal stated, “Routes to Shri Salasar Dham and Khatu Shyam Ji Maharaj are being added. Another route to Mathura Ji – Vrindavan Dham is also being introduced. A Haridwar-Rishikesh route is also being added. These buses will begin operating from 1 August. I urge all of you to make use of this scheme.”

Encouraging people to undertake the ‘tirath’ yatra, he said, “Those moments will become some of the most memorable experiences of your life. Some of you may think, ‘Why do I need something free? I have enough money.’ But when you travel together with everyone, singing bhajans on the bus, it becomes an altogether different experience of life.”

Referring to the bhajan programme, Arvind Kejriwal said, “All of you have gathered here today to attend Hansraj Raghuwanshi’s bhajan sandhya. We have already organised his programmes at several places. There was one in Jalandhar, another in Amritsar, and yesterday’s programme was held in Gurdaspur. In this way, such bhajan sandhyas will be organised in 22 cities across Punjab.”

The AAP Chief shared, “Many people met me in these ‘bhajan sandhyas’ and said that never before have such large-scale programmes been organised for Sanatan Dharma in Punjab. People are very happy. Punjab’s Chief Minister is working for every religion. He cares for everyone and is taking every faith along.”

Highlighting another religious project, Arvind Kejriwal said, “By September, the famous Kali Mata Mandir in Patiala, which holds immense significance and where people come to fulfil their wishes and seek relief from their troubles, is being transformed into a grand temple at a cost of ₹80 crore. I have seen the models prepared by the architects. It will be completed by September. You should certainly visit in October or afterwards. You will like it very much. It will bring you immense joy, peace and happiness.”
