Global star Priyanka Chopra wished everyone a Happy Diwali by sharing a family picture featuring her husband Nick Jonas and daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
On Sunday, Priyanka shared glimpses of the Diwali celebration she recently hosted at her Los Angeles home. She wore a burgundy-and-gold strapless gown featuring zardozi embroidery, beadwork and gold thread. She completed the festive look with kundan jewellery, golden earrings, bangles and a white gajra adorning her sleek low bun.
Nick opted for a cream-and-white embroidered kurta set, while Malti twinned with her father in a white lehenga.
“Some camera roll favourites from this Diwali. (Black heart emoji) Wishing you all a very Happy Diwali (Diya emoji) (sic),” Priyanka captioned her post. Nick reacted with a diya and star-eyed emojis.
Although based in the US, Priyanka makes an effort to keep Indian traditions alive and introduce Malti to the country’s festivals and customs. Recently, she shared glimpses of Dussehra celebrations at their Los Angeles home, which included puja, Shivling abhishek, havan and Kanya Pujan. One picture showed Nick washing Malti’s feet as part of the celebrations.
Priyanka also celebrated Karwa Chauth with Nick in Los Angeles. She revealed that he had arranged his tour schedule to be home for the occasion, writing: “He can home without me asking him to.. knowing how much it would mean to mm and I.. he made sure tour was set up to be home for karwachauth.. (Teary eyes emoji) No one like my guy… May a love like this find you all.. happy karwachauth (Red heart emoji)”.
