Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab strongly condemns the continued apathy of the Aam Aadmi Party government towards aided school teachers, whose salaries have been pending for over six to eight months. Under the misleading banner of “Shiksha Kranti,” the Punjab government has failed to release essential grants, pushing thousands of dedicated educators into financial crisis.
BJP Punjab General Secretary, Anil Sarin, expressed deep concern and support, stating: “Teachers who should be nurturing the minds of our youth are today forced to protest on the streets for their rightful wages. This is not just administrative failure—it is a betrayal of Punjab’s teaching community, students, and the spirit of public service.”
Despite repeated promises, the Bhagwant Mann-led government has left aided school staff struggling with unpaid salaries, delayed grants, and rising debt. The entire aided school framework is now at risk of collapse.
Sarin further emphasized: “Education must not fall victim to politics or careless governance. We demand the immediate release of all pending salaries and restoration of grants with retrospective effect.”
Sarin assured that BJP Punjab stands in solidarity with the teachers’ unions and urges the government to act urgently. The dignity of teachers and the future of students must not be compromised any longer.
