The second death anniversary (Barsi) of Kanwardeep Singh Makkar, son of senior BJP leader and former Punjab MLA Sarabjit Singh Makkar, will be observed on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
A religious congregation in his memory will be held at Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib, Nauvin Patshahi, Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar, Jalandhar, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Family members, relatives, friends, political associates, and admirers are expected to attend the commemorative event and pay their respects.
Kanwardeep Singh Makkar passed away on June 24, 2024, at a private hospital in Chennai after battling a prolonged kidney-related ailment. His untimely demise had deeply saddened the Makkar family and those who knew him.
The family has invited all well-wishers to join the Barsi Samagam and offer prayers in his sacred memory.
