In a remarkable act of generosity, Punjab Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh has donated his entire annual salary of ₹12 lakh to the Punjab Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to aid flood victims across the state.
Dr. Singh personally handed over the cheque to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann during his visit to the flood-affected district of Hoshiarpur, underscoring the government’s commitment to providing relief and rehabilitation to those impacted by the devastating floods.
It may be recalled that earlier, all Punjab ministers and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs had pledged to donate one month’s salary towards the relief efforts. The Congress party also announced that its MLAs would contribute a month’s salary to support flood victims.
This humanitarian gesture by Dr. Singh reinforces the collective effort of Punjab’s political leadership to stand with citizens during this challenging time.
