Shiromani Akali Dal received big shot in arm in Kharar on Tuesday when social worker Harjit Singh Pannu joined the party along with his hundreds of supporters in presence of party President Sukhbir Singh Badal.
Sukhbir Singh Badal welcomed them and assured full respect in the party. He also said that need of the hour was for youth to join politics for betterment of Punjab.
On the occasion former MLA NK Sharma and Parminder Singh Sohana were also present.
Pannu assured President that he will work hard for the party and take its policies door to door. Many among those joined included Sarpanches and prominent faces of the area.
