In addition to four scientists of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Dr Salwinder Singh Dhaliwal, former Senior Soil Scientist, Department of Soil Science, PAU, and Honorary Member of International Zinc Association (IZA), has also made it to the top 2% of the world’s best scientists in Stanford University’s prestigious listed positions for 2024.
According to Stanford University’s selection list, he has secured a global ranking of 8,97,66 in agriculture and been ranked 610 in the sub-field of soil science.
Among fields of agriculture in specific and soil science in particular, Dr Dhaliwal has secured top position from PAU.
The prestigious ranking was based on 40 different research parameters which included citations, H-index, research interest, research publications published in high-impact journals and strategic technologies accumulated over 30 years.
Dr Dhaliwal has secured a global ranking due to his strong publication record, impactful research work, and notable quality of his scholarly contributions. So far, he has contributed 290 research publications of national and international repute to PAU with 4,500 citations and 31- H-index.
The PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Director of Research Dr Ajmer Singh Dhatt, Additional Director Communication Dr TS Riar, and Head of Soil Science Department Dr Dhanwinder Singh congratulated Dr Dhaliwal for this rare achievement and wished him success in his future endeavours.
