PM Modi Launches Six New Vande Bharat Trains – CHECK DETAILS

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off six new Vande Bharat trains on Sunday from Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur, expanding India’s growing fleet of semi-high-speed trains. These new trains, introduced by the Railway Ministry, promise faster connectivity, safe journeys, and a host of passenger amenities. Designed under the ‘Make in India’ initiative, Vande Bharat trains symbolize India’s drive toward a more modern and efficient rail system.

New Vande Bharat Routes for Improved Connectivity

The six new Vande Bharat trains will enhance connectivity across different regions of India. Covering states such as Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh, these trains will significantly reduce travel times while providing passengers with a comfortable and luxurious journey. Here are the new routes introduced:

1.Tatanagar-Patna Vande Bharat Express
This train will operate six days a week and complete its journey in around seven hours. It departs from Tatanagar at 6 a.m. and arrives in Patna at 3 p.m. The return journey leaves Patna at 3 p.m. and reaches Tatanagar by 11 p.m.

2.Deoghar-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express
Running through the Kiul-Gaya route in Bihar, this service will operate six days a week, except on Tuesdays, with a scheduled stop at Nawada.

3.Tatanagar-Berhampur Vande Bharat Express
This route connects Odisha with Jharkhand and will operate six days a week, excluding Tuesdays. This is the fourth Vande Bharat service for Odisha.

4.Bhagalpur-Dumka-Howrah Vande Bharat Express
This train connects Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, providing a seamless travel experience across three states.

5.Gaya-Howrah Vande Bharat Express
Covering a distance of 458 kilometers, this train will operate six days a week, taking just under six hours to travel between Howrah and Gaya.

6.Rourkela-Howrah Vande Bharat Express
With only three scheduled stops between Rourkela and Howrah, this train offers a faster connection through Chakradharpur, Tatanagar, and Kharagpur.

Rapidly Expanding Vande Bharat Fleet

With the introduction of these six new routes, the Vande Bharat fleet has expanded to 60 trains, covering over 280 districts across 24 states and union territories. The Ministry of Railways stated that the Vande Bharat portfolio continues to grow, offering enhanced connectivity with 120 daily trips. These trains, designed and manufactured in India, are equipped with cutting-edge features that aim to deliver a luxurious and efficient travel experience to millions of passengers.

A Flagship Project of ‘Make in India’

The Vande Bharat trains are a proud product of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. These semi-high-speed trains, capable of reaching speeds of up to 160 km/h, represent India’s ambitions to develop a world-class rail system. As of September 14, 2024, the Vande Bharat fleet has completed around 36,000 trips, carrying over 3.17 crore passengers. The Railway Ministry emphasized that the trains have proven to be a game-changer for Indian Railways, providing fast, reliable, and safe transportation across the country.
