Students from all five schools of the Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Noorpur Road, Cantt.- Jandiala Road, and Kapurthala Road), along with the B.Ed College and Management College, participated in the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” to express their respect for the tricolor and the nation.
Numerous activities were organized for the students on this occasion. Children evoked patriotic spirit by reciting wonderful poems about the motherland, filling the school with the essence of love for the country.
Activities under the theme ‘Viksit Bharat’ included dance, music, role play, speech competitions, and poster making, in which students showed great enthusiasm.
During the week-long activities, the little ones from kindergarten dressed up as various freedom fighters, honoring their great sacrifices. The school campus was decorated with the colors of the tricolor.
The chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ echoed through the school premises. During the special prayer assembly, all students were informed about the significance of Independence Day.
Children from grades one and two participated in a costume parade titled ‘Sare Jahan Se Accha.’ Fourth-grade students expressed their love for the nation through patriotic poems.
A quiz based on ‘Freedom Fighters’ was organized for the fifth-grade students, in which they participated enthusiastically. Sixth-grade students penned their feelings towards the freedom fighters.
On this occasion, a trivia quiz competition called “Trivia Titans” was organized for the Heritage and Literary Club students, and an inter-house poetry competition was held for the 9th and 10th graders in honor of ‘Independence Day,’ where they expressed their emotions and passion for the country and the tricolor.
The patriotic songs presented by the students filled everyone with national pride. The dance performance by the students, reminding us of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, captivated everyone’s hearts.
The NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education organized an essay writing competition on the theme ‘Viksit Bharat,’ focusing on the lives and contributions of our national heroes.
Senior officials of the schools and colleges conducted the flag hoisting ceremony. This was followed by saluting the national flag and singing the National Anthem.
