In recognition of their outstanding performance and remarkable contribution to public healthcare, Dr. Satinderjit Singh Bajaj, Civil Surgeon, Amritsar, and Dr. Rashmi Vij, District Immunization Officer-cum-Nodal Officer, Aam Aadmi Clinics, were honoured with the State-Level Doctors Award by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Punjab, during the State-Level Doctors Award Ceremony.
Dr. Satinderjit Singh Bajaj received the award for successfully initiating the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) Postgraduate Programme at Civil Hospital, Jalandhar, a significant milestone that has strengthened specialist medical training in the government healthcare sector. He was also recognised for his valuable contribution to medical education through authoring a Pharmacology textbook in accordance with the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) curriculum.
Dr. Rashmi Vij was honoured for her pivotal role in achieving the highest Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination coverage in Punjab and for securing the first MusQan Certification for the Civil Hospital. Her dedicated efforts have led to significant improvements in the quality of maternal and child healthcare services.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Satinderjit Singh Bajaj said that the honour was a matter of immense pride and would further inspire him to serve the people with greater dedication and commitment.
