Senior Congress leader Manjit Singh Sethi’s son, Inderpreet Singh ‘Ginni’ Sethi, will be cremated on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Harnamdasspura Cremation Grounds in Jalandhar.
The mortal remains of the 37-year-old, who passed away in Canada on April 20, are being flown back to India and are expected to reach Jalandhar late Sunday night via Delhi airport. Family members, relatives, and well-wishers are expected to gather in large numbers to pay their last respects.
Meanwhile, prominent personalities from various fields, along with relatives and acquaintances, visited the residences of Manjit Singh Sethi and Mohinder Singh Gullu to offer condolences and express their sympathies with the bereaved families over the demise of Ginni Sethi.
Tragic Demise in Canada
Ginni Sethi died following a sudden cardiac arrest while at his mobile showroom in Surrey, Canada. His untimely death at a young age had sent shockwaves across the Punjabi community both in India and abroad.
A young entrepreneur with strong roots in Punjab, Ginni had built his business overseas while maintaining close ties with his hometown. His sudden demise has left his family and community in deep grief.
Family and Background
Inderpreet Singh Sethi was the elder son of Congress leader Manjit Singh Sethi, associated with DBC PVC Panels and Delhi Aluminium. He was the brother of Advocate Amanpreet Singh and son-in-law of Congress Councillor Mohinder Singh Gullu.
He is survived by his wife, two young daughters, parents, siblings, and extended family members, all of whom are mourning the irreparable loss.
