Engineer Navdeep Singh, an alumnus of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, has achieved the first rank in Punjab in the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) Register-C Exam. The results, announced recently, mark a significant achievement as only five posts in this prestigious category were available across the state.
Navdeep Singh, currently serving as an officer in Jalandhar’s Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, has over 22 years of dedicated service. His work has been instrumental in advancing agricultural mechanization, crop residue management, and tubewell operations across Jalandhar and Hoshiarpur districts.
As the nodal officer for stubble management this year, he collaborated closely with the local administration to achieve a remarkable 70% reduction in stubble burning incidents, significantly contributing to efforts in combating air pollution during the harvest season.
Congratulating Navdeep Singh on his outstanding achievement, Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, expressed immense pride, stating, “Navdeep Singh’s success reflects the dedication and excellence instilled by PAU in its students.
