The All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Friday announced the appointment of three senior party leaders as AICC In-Charges for Haryana, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh with immediate effect.
According to a press release issued by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, the appointments have been approved by the Hon’ble Congress President as part of the party’s organisational restructuring.
Under the new appointments:
- Sanjay Dutt has been appointed as the AICC In-Charge for Haryana.
- Lalji Desai has been appointed as the AICC In-Charge for Odisha.
- Rajendra Pal Gautam has been appointed as the AICC In-Charge for Uttar Pradesh.
The Congress leadership also expressed appreciation for the contributions of the outgoing General Secretaries/In-Charges:
- Avinash Pande
- B.K. Hariprasad
- Ajay Kumar Lallu
The appointments come into effect immediately and are part of the party’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its organisational structure in key states ahead of future political engagements.
