Punjab Horticulture and Defence Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat today urged people to imbibe and practice the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji to build a harmonious and equitable society founded on the principles of equality, peace, and social justice.
Participating as a devotee in the sacred Nagar Kirtan held to mark the Parkash Purab celebrations of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the Minister highlighted the timeless relevance of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s message in contemporary times. He said that the Guru’s teachings of universal brotherhood, women empowerment, compassion, communal harmony, and environmental preservation continue to serve as a guiding light for humanity.
Mr. Bhagat stressed that the need of the hour is to follow Guru Ji’s ideals by fostering mutual respect and eradicating social evils that divide society. “If we walk on the path shown by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, we can build a world rooted in peace, equality, and unity,” he added.
He also served langar among devotees who were participating in the Nagar Kirtan.
