Duballi Village Incident: CCTV Footage Captures Incident, Escape

A commission agent, (‘Arhtia’) Jaswant Singh Bittu, was shot dead in Duballi village, Tarn Taran district, on Saturday morning by a lone assailant who arrived and fled on a motorcycle. The incident has prompted a police investigation, with family members alleging that the deceased had been receiving ransom demands.
The fatal shooting occurred at Jaswant Singh Bittu’s shop on Saturday morning. At the time of the incident, Jaswant Singh Bittu, an ex-serviceman and commission agent, had just opened his shop. Two women were present, sweeping the area outside.
CCTV footage of the incident reveals that a man arrived on a motorcycle, parked outside the shop, dismounted, entered the premises, and within seconds, shot Jaswant Singh Bittu. The assailant then fled the scene on the same motorcycle.
The CCTV footage further shows the presence of two women sweeping outside the shop as the assailant arrived. One woman is seen turning away in fear, while the other woman moved forward and shouted, prompting a man to run towards the shop. Jaswant Singh Bittu reportedly died at the scene from his bullet wounds.
Jaswant Singh Bittu’s family and relatives have alleged that he had been receiving extortion calls, and they had reported this to the police.
The police have registered a case and initiated a thorough investigation into the murder. Multiple teams have been formed to identify and apprehend the accused individual.
