Continuing its sustained campaign against corruption, the Haryana State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV&ACB) has arrested a Manager posted at the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Office, Bahadurgarh, while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹40,000.
A case has been registered against the accused at Police Station SV&ACB, Rohtak under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
Bribe Demanded for Releasing Disability Assistance
According to the complaint submitted to the Bureau, the complainant’s husband was entitled to receive approximately ₹2.50 lakh as disability assistance under a government scheme.
It was alleged that Kuldeep Kumar, Manager at the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Office, Bahadurgarh, demanded a bribe of ₹40,000 for facilitating the release of the assistance amount. After verifying the complaint, the Anti-Corruption Bureau laid a trap and apprehended the accused red-handed while accepting the bribe amount of ₹40,000 from the complainant.
Action Taken Under Section 105 of BNSS
During the trap proceedings, all mandatory legal formalities prescribed under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 were duly complied with. An FIR No. 19 dated July 2, 2026 has been registered against the accused at Police Station SV&ACB, Rohtak under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The accused has been arrested, and further investigation into the case is underway.
