Chandigarh, June 27, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)
Former Cabinet Minister of Punjab, senior leader, and Member of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), Vijay Inder Singla, has expressed deep concern and fierce outrage over the multi-crore embezzlement of donations and offerings at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
He stated that the registration of an FIR regarding this massive loot within the Ram Mandir premises is undeniable proof that a dirty game of greed, rather than faith, was being played behind the scenes.
Launching a sharp attack, Vijay Inder Singla said that under the guise of religion, those harvesting votes have converted the deep devotion of crores of Ram devotees into a source of illicit wealth.
From the poorest citizens of the country, who donated out of pure devotion, to the mothers and sisters who offered their gold and silver jewelry at the feet of Prabhu Shri Ram – their faith has been pillaged without even a shred of record-keeping. This stands as one of the most shameful betrayals in our history.
Questioning the intentions of the government, he pointed out that the top leaders, who once rushed to the frontlines to gain political mileage and claim credit for the temple, have now gone completely silent on this monumental scam. The ongoing conspiracy to shield the powerful and influential by merely scapegoating a few low-level employees is now thoroughly understood by the people of this country.
Singla warned in a sharp tone that a government drunk on power must understand that this mockery of public faith will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Our clear demands are:
1. This compromised trust must be dissolved immediately, and the political middlemen sitting inside it must be completely ousted.
2. A high-level investigation into this entire mega-scam must be conducted under the direct supervision of the Chief Justice of the Hon’ble Supreme Court so that the real culprits can be thrown behind bars.
He concluded by stating that the public will no longer accept hollow excuses, we demand full accountability and absolute justice for our faith.
