Punjab ਅਤੇ Haryana ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ Maharashtra ਦੀਆਂ Sikh ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤਖ਼ਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਲਏ ਗਏ ਆਪਹੁਦਰੇ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਬੁਲੰਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਆਫ ਨਵੀਂ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਭਾਈ ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ’ਚ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤ ਨੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਜਥੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਲਏ ਗਏ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮੁੜ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਦਵੀਆਂ ’ਤੇ ਬਹਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੰਤ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਹਰਨਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ, ਮੁਖੀ ਦਮਦਮੀ ਟਕਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਈ ਪੰਥਕ ਇਕੱਠ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਮਤਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕਜੁੱਟਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਅਤੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਬਹਾਲ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ 28 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਸ. ਤੇਜਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਹਾਲ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਘਿਰਾਓ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਪੱਤਰ ਲਿਖਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਪੰਥਕ ਏਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਾਲ,ਅਸੀਂ, ਨਵੀਂ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੌਂਸਲ, ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਰਨੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਲਏ ਗਏ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਾਲੀਆ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਟਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਇਤਰਾਜ਼ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਲਿਖ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤ ਆਸ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਥੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਪਰੰਪਰਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਥਕ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੋਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਈ ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੜਗੱਜ ਦੀ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕੇਸਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਰੀ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਟੇਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਨੌਲਾ ਦੀ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਮਦਮਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਰੱਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਪਰੰਪਰਾਵਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਪੰਥਕ ਕਦਰਾਂ-ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਂਦੀਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਤਖ਼ਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾਉਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਜਥੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਰਘਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ, ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸੁਲਤਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕੇਸਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਮਦਮਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਬਹਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਤਖ਼ਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਪਾਰਦਰਸ਼ੀ ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਜਥੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ, ਸੰਤ ਸਮਾਜ, ਨਿਹੰਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਪਰਦਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਥਕ ਬੁੱਧੀਜੀਵੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾਹ-ਮਸ਼ਵਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ’ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੰਥਕ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਦਖਲਅੰਦਾਜ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਲਿਖਤੀ, ਢਾਂਚਾ ਗਤ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਭਾਵ ਵਿਧੀ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਦਾ ਖਰੜਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਸਿੱਖ ਪੰਥ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਦਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਰੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ 28 ਮਾਰਚ, 2025 ਨੂੰ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਬਜਟ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ‘ਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਪੰਥਕ ਹਿੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਫਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੇ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਭਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਮਈ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਥਕ ਬਾਈਕਾਟ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।
Letter To SGPC,
Navi Mumbai, Mumbai and Maharashtra Sikh sangat raising their voice against Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak committe for their arbitrary decision on Jathedar Sahib. We all Sikh Sangat demand Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to take their Decision back and Give Jathedari to the respected Jathedars again.

Subject: Concern Regarding Recent Jathedar Appointments and Request for Immediate Review
Respected Sir,
With utmost respect and in deep concern for the Panthic unity and sanctity of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, we, the Supreme Council of Navi Mumbai Gurdwaras, write to express our strong reservations regarding the recent appointments and removals of Jathedars at the Takht Sahibs, as decided by the SGPC’s executive committee.
As representatives of the Sikh Sangat in Navi Mumbai, we stand in solidarity with the resolutions passed at the Panthak Ikath held on March 14, 2025, at Gurdwara Sudarshan Prakash, Sri Anandpur Sahib, under the leadership of Sant Giani Harnam Singh Ji Khalsa, Mukhi Damdami Taksal.
The Sikh Sangat has voiced serious concerns over the legitimacy and process of appointing and removing Jathedars, which should be in accordance with Gurmat traditions and Panthic sentiments.
Our Demands & Concerns:
Immediate Reinstatement of Previously Appointed Jathedars
Singh Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh Ji as Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib
Singh Sahib Giani Sultan Singh Ji as Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib
Singh Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh Ji as Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib
Rejection of Politically Motivated Appointments
We categorically reject the appointment of Bhai Kuldeep Singh Garghaj as Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Baba Tek Singh Dhanola as Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib.
These appointments do not align with Sikh traditions or Panthic values, and their removal is imperative to maintain the sanctity of our Takhts.
Implementation of a Transparent Selection Process for Takht Jathedars
We urge SGPC to consult all Sikh organizations, Sant Samaj, Nihang Singh sects, and Panthic intellectuals before making any decisions regarding appointments or removals of Takht Jathedars.
A written, structured process must be drafted and ratified to prevent future political interference in Panthic matters.
Respecting the Will of the Sikh Panth
We request the SGPC’s executive committee members to reconsider their decision before the SGPC budget session on March 28, 2025.
Failure to uphold Panthic interests may result in strong opposition from Sikh Sangat worldwide, including peaceful protests and Panthic boycotts.
Final Appeal: The Sikh Sangat looks up to SGPC as the supreme authority for Panthic affairs.
However, recent actions have diminished trust in its leadership. We humbly request urgent corrective measures to restore the sanctity of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and other Takhts.
We await your timely and positive response to ensure that the Sikh Panth remains united under the principles of Gurmat and Panthic traditions.
