MP Malvinder Kang Visits Villages in Kharar; Residents of Jainti Majra, Goore, Karaundewala and Kasauli to Get Long-Pending Connectivity Relief

Kharar, June 21, 2026(Yes Punjab News)

Member of Parliament from the Sri Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha Constituency, S. Malvinder Singh Kang, undertook an extensive tour of several villages in the Kharar Assembly Constituency, including Jainti Majra, Masol, Kanhe Ka Wara, Chhoti Karor, Vaddi Karor, Goore and Kasauli, to assess local development needs and interact with residents.

During the visit, S. Kang reviewed civic infrastructure requirements and listened to issues raised by villagers. He assured the residents that the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening rural infrastructure and addressing public concerns in a time-bound manner.

Addressing gatherings at various locations, the Member of Parliament announced that the construction of culverts over seasonal drains/rivulets in Jainti Majra, Goore, Karaundewala and Kasauli will be taken up shortly. He stated that these projects are essential for ensuring uninterrupted connectivity and improving transportation facilities for residents, particularly during the monsoon season.

Mr. Kang noted that overflowing seasonal drains/rivulets often disrupt movement in these villages during heavy rains, causing inconvenience to commuters, students, farmers and emergency services. The proposed culverts, he said, will significantly enhance accessibility, ensure safer passage and provide lasting relief to local communities.

Reiterating the Punjab Government’s commitment to balanced and inclusive rural development, S. Kang said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, concerted efforts are being made to improve infrastructure and public services across the state. He further directed the concerned departments to expedite all procedural formalities to facilitate the early commencement of the projects.

The villagers welcomed the MP’s visit and appreciated his proactive approach in addressing local issues. They expressed confidence that the proposed infrastructure works would greatly benefit the region and improve the quality of life for residents.
